Christmas Recipes

There really is no place like home for the holidays! We know how busy things can this time of year - so we've compiled a list of some of our favorite holiday recipes to help check one more thing off your list. If you are looking for a treat to drop off to neighbors, a main dish for Christmas eve dinner, or a show-stopping dessert to wow your in-laws - you've come to the right place!

Risalamande (Danish rice pudding)

Risalamande is the most popular Danish Christmas dessert (and one of my family's favorites!). It is typically served on Christmas eve but is popular throughout the entire month of December. Traditionally, a single whole almond is hidden in one of the bowls and whoever finds it gets a prize! If you are looking to branch out from cookies and fudge this year - this one is for you!

Tamales

Tamales are a popular dish in Mexico, Guatemala, and the rest of Latin America. They continue to be a popular dish and are often eaten for dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas!

Christmas Cookies

There really is nothing better than sugar cookies during Christmas! Every family seems to have their own recipe and this is mine. There is a secret ingredient (nutmeg in the cookie dough) that really takes these over the top. Finish them with a classic buttercream frosting and decorate to your liking. (Santa will be so excited to see these on his plate Christmas Eve)

Cranberry Orange Scones

Looking for something to make for Christmas breakfast? Look no further! My family loves to whip up a quick batch of scones for Christmas morning. They go great with a cup of coffee (or eggnog) and are quick and easy to make. My family loves topping them with clotted cream - but they also taste yummy with jam and butter.

Eggnog

This is a Christmas classic! On average - 130 million pounds of eggnog is sold every year. Making it one of the most popular seasonal drinks of all time! Despite its popularity, making it from scratch can be intimidating for a lot of people! That's why we included this simple recipe for those that are feeling adventurous this year.

Peanut Brittle

Peanut Brittle is a perfect treat to take around to neighbors and friends this time of year. It comes together quickly and is always a crowd-pleaser! If you don't have a lot of experience making candy - this is perfect for you!
